New to follistim

We have been TTC for 16 months now and have had 5 failed attempts with Clomid. Just wondering if anyone out there has success stories with follistim?? And how many attempts it took??

    I never had any luck with clomid (7 rounds total ttc #1 & #2) and it made me a crazy person.  I got pregnant with #2 on my first round of follistim (+ ovidrel trigger) and TI. While I could never administer the shots myself, they didn't really hurt and I didn't have any side effects.  It ain't cheap, but definitely worth it in our opinion. GL!

    I wasn't a candidate for Clomid (FSH was too high) so we started right out the gates with Follistim.  We were successful on our first cycle with it last March, unfortunately I m/c due to a chromosomal issue and then 5 more cycles until we were successful again.  I think it would have taken less cycles for it to work again if they would have figured out a few other things sooner (my estrogen levels the 2nd half of the cycle kept dropping too low).
