I have been without the internet for a week now (other than a little Facebook access on my phone.) Feels good to be back in touch!

As some of you know, my sister Kimberly had surgery on Thursday to have a permanent feeding tube inserted and fundoplication. The surgery did not go well, and there were several complications along the way. They have been unable to successfully take her off of the ventilator, so she is still on it and currently in the PICU and Children's hospital. At this time, they also think she may be developing pnuemonia. Please keep her in my prayers, and my parents who are staying with her around the clock.

On a side note, we desperately need volunteers for the childcare room at the Birmingham Rett Syndrome (this is what my sister has) conference on Saturday, August 7th. We will have Rett girls and their siblings. The time is 8 am-5 pm, but you can come all day, or part of it, and lunch is provided. PLEASE let me know if you can help us out!!!
