1. Diaper Pails, DH would like one that uses only garbage bags and not the special bags. BUT he wants to make sure that if a dirty one goes in we won't smell it. I got a Safety First Pail but not sure how it will work out. https://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2373657 Any advice from all of you?
2. Monitors. At shower I got the Graco imonitor vibe Digital. https://www.target.com/Graco-Digital-Deluxe-iMonitor-Monitor/dp/B0009UBSFC But I've been reading about these voice activated ones where you don't get all the back ground noise that may be going on like a fan etc. From reading my box/book I don't see this monitor has anything like that. Any recommendations as I will have a fan on in LO room and do not want to get that "noise" through the monitor. Here is the one I'm thinking I should get: https://www.target.com/Sony-BabyCall-Nursery-Monitor-Receivers/dp/B0017T2RYU/ref=sr_1_14?ie=UTF8&searchView=list&qid=1277084319&frombrowse=0&fromGsearch=true&node=1038576%7C1287991011&keywords=baby%20monitors&searchSize=90&id=Sony%20BabyCall%20Nursery%20Monitor%20Receivers&searchBinNameList=purchasing_channel%2Csubjectbin%2Cprice%2Ctarget_com_primary_color-bin%2Ctarget_com_size-bin%2Ctarget_com_brand-bin&searchNodeID=1038576%7C1287991011&searchRank=target104545&sr=1-14&searchPage=1&rh=
TIA!!!
Re: July 2010 Momma-12 days to go-questions/advice
We had a Diaper Champp but we could still smell the dirty diapers. Now we just use a regular garbage can and take the dirty ones outside right away.
We have the Lorex digital monitor and so far have been very pleased with it. https://www.amazon.com/Lorex-LW2002WAC1-Additional-Accessory-Wireless/dp/B001N34OM8/ref=pd_rhf_shvl_1. It will mute the white noise and come back on when it detects the baby's noise once it's a certain level. You can pair it with another camera as well. It will scan back and forth between the two cameras and show the picture of the room once noise is detected.

BFP#2: m/c 10/29/2012 EDD was 6/21/2012 Baby Hope was 6 weeks 3 days.
BFP#3: Twin B stopped growing at 8 weeks and 5 days. Found on 8/10/2014. EDD was 2/26/2014. Twin A is still doing great and due date is 2/26/14.
I can't really speak about the monitor situation. But, we have the same diaper pail as the one you linked to here. It works great! They sell little deodorizer tabs that go into the center compartment thast you open to put the diaper in and they really help keep the stink at bay. Another suggestion I have for whatever diaper pail you use - Scented garbage bags! Good luck.

1. I'm a cloth diapering mama. We use a regular diaper pail with a bag, and we wash diapers every two days. All I know is when it's wash day, the diapers are smelling pretty ... fresh.
So I geuss it depends on how often you'll be taking out the trash. If it's fairly often, you'll be fine. If you plan to go more than a few days, you might want to get one of the "fancy" trash cans.
2. I have the Sony Baby Call monitor and it's really nice. Seems to work well for us!
