I had what I guess was false labor last night. Starting just after midnight (so I guess this morning, not last night...) I started having contractions. We started timing them after 30 minutes or so and they were pretty irregular, every 5-10 minutes and lasting anywhere from 30 seconds to 2 minutes each. They stayed like that for about two more hours, and then I decided to get into the tub to see if that changed things and it slowed them way down. By 5 this morning they had completely stopped.
But yeah, that was scary! They were much more intense than I imagined. Also, when they were at their worst I was throwing up between each contraction. It was awful! They felt like really bad stomach cramps you get with bad diarrhea (sorry that's TMI) only they started in my hips/sides and came around to the front. I kept trying to go to the bathroom before I realized what was happening because it really felt like a bad upset stomach.
My DH did so great, though. I could tell that he was freaked out, but he acted calm & took care of me all night. He rubbed my back & held my hair when I was throwing up, and he finished packing our hospital bag & put it in the car just in case. Also when I got out of the bathtub I walked in on him reading the labor & delivery section of WTE. It was so cute.
Today I feel like my entire uterus is bruised. Every movement LO makes hurts SO bad. And, I think he moved even lower last night and it feels like he's pinching a nerve on my pubic bone. Walking hurts so bad now. Hopefully he will move again or come out soon, because I can't imagine up to four more weeks of this!
