We got a PNP that has the newborn napper in it; I looked up (and it could be wrong) on the internet what the weight limit was for it and it said 15 lb: DS is close to and now probably 13 pounds. So we decided to start transitioning him to sleeping on the bassinet part of the PNP (the advisory on the newborn napper says 3 months or when they can roll over which ever comes first). HE HATES IT. The past two nights he has slept pretty much in my arms because we lay him down in the PNP and he wakes up after about 20 min and starts crying.
He also refuses to sleep in his crib, or in the crib/PNP that the babysitter has. At the babysitters, he only will fall asleep in a bouncer that she has. Problem is the bouncer is the shape of the newborn napper.
It's so frustrating...Anybody else's LO picky as to where they sleep? Any suggestions on how to make him sleep better on a flat surface? He doesn't have AR or anything and will lay on his back on his activity mat, but when it comes to this he hates it.
Re: Anyone else LO hate sleeping in the PNP?
::raises hand::
try rolling up 2 towels to place on either side of him so he feels more enclosed and secure. also try swaddling if you dont. we have a real bassinet so for now im not worried
She was fine in her PnP till she was almost 3 weeks old then wanted nothing to do with it..She sometimes sleeps in her bouncy chair and has accepted her swing finally but at night ifI want sleep..shes on my chest till she passes out then we bed share the rest of the night..
I dont know why she changed her mind and hated the thing but even if shes passed out and I put her in it she wont have it!
