resume question

I am sprucing up my resume and want to be sure I am laying this out right. What is the best way to show that you worked for a company in a part time manager type position then were promoted to a full time more responsibility position at another location? Right now I have it listed separately but I am not sure if that is correct.

Ex:

Larry's Horse Farm Dayton, Ohio 2006 to present

  • Full time manager
  • *duties listed etc.

Larry?s Horse Farm Springfield, Ohio 2005-2006 Part time assistant manager

  • *duties listed etc.
  • *Promoted to full time position and transferred to larger location.

Hope this makes sense as the bump formatting is sometimes weird. Thanks for any advice on how to best show this on a resume.

Re: resume question

  • I think it makes sense, because it's essentially like having two separate jobs within a company. I have a somewhat similar situation because I had one position in the agency I work for, then that program was eliminated and I transferred to a different position in the same agency. Just be sure to identify the specific job duties for each position, taking care to not duplicate them (or you can specifically note the difference (e.g. "oversaw five employees vs. oversee 15 employees)). I would recommend using past tense when describing the job duties for the assistant manager position, and present tense for the manager position, assuming you're still holding that position currently. Oh, and I don't think you need to indicate that you were promoted, because I think it'll be pretty clear from the dates of the assistant manager position vs. the dates of the manager position. Hope this helps! I actually like this kind of stuff, so if you want any more help or advice, feel free to pm me.
