F/U to Self-Soothing

She sucked her thumb last night for over 1.5 hours.  She never cried.  I kept checking on her.  She eventually went back to sleep.  But the whole time I was thinking that 1.5 hours of thumb sucking was excessive.

    Sounds like she had it under control though, right? Pretty sweet that she didn't need your help to 1. sooth/hang out and be happy and 2. go back to sleep!

    My mom said that that used to be me.  I'm glad that her first trial night was a success.

    That's funny that she did it for so long. I bet she gets quicker at going back to sleep once she gets more practice. I doubt B would ever have the patience to chill in her crib for 1.5 hours without crying!

    I think she was in and out of sleep most of the time.  I don't think she was ever all the way awake.  She had her eyes open a couple times that I went to check on her but not everytime.
