So DS's bday is next Saturday!! AHHH!!!

Here is the current menu for lunch: beef brisket, pulled pork, buns, baked beans, regular potato chips with french onion dip, buffalo chicken dip with tortilla chips, watermelon & canteloupe cut into wedges, veggie tray with dill dip.

You are doing way better than I am. DD's party is also next Saturday and I haven't ordred a cake and don't even now where I'm going to order food. I need to get my butt in gear!

Well I bought 2 of those buffet food servers things that hold 2 seperate aluminum tins of food. So I'm doing both meats in one side and beans/something else hot in the other. I haven't bought any food yet. Going Friday (DS's actual bday) while my mom watches him. I'm also making cupcakes/smash cake myself on Friday. I'll be a crazy woman both Friday and Saturday but it should be well worth it!!!

I got a little chuckle out when I read 'sweet corn'. Where I'm from we just call it corn. It wasn't until I met a bunch of midwesterners (home of corn) that I learned that there is corn and sweet corn and that it's important to differentiate.

I think you have enough, but a veggie would round it out. Do whichever is easiest for you (or to have someone else bring). I said sweet corn because it is a yummy summer food, but do whatever you like

I voted for mac & cheese, partly because I LOVE it, and partly because I don't eat meat, so whenever I'm at a party I appreciate when there's something a little more substantial. That may not be an issue for your friends though!

What about cole slaw instead of a hot side. It goes so well with bbq.

BTW, thanks for the Walgreen's code. I already made the collage, picked it up and threw it in a frame. So cute and easy.

Oh you're welcome! I'm picking mine up tomorrow sometime. DH actually sent me the code this morning so I figured I would make him a collage for Father's Day.

I might do a cole slaw. Lots of people like that!
