Snarky and T-TTC

S/O TLC...

We were at the Apple store the other day and my h was acting a little weird. We went to the back of the store to look at bags and he asked if I saw them.  I couldn't figure out what the f*ck he was talking about and then I saw a set of conjoined twins at the front of the store.  It took him by surprise a little and I can't blame him.

I had seen a couple of shows on TLC about the girls growing up so I recognized them right away.

And there is my story for the day. Enjoy it.

Re: S/O TLC...

  • That would take me by surprise too. And I would find it hard not to stare, just in awe of how two separate people can share the same body.

  • It would be hard not to stare.  When I watch shows about cojoined twins, I am always amazed at how they learn to function together to accomplish their daily activities.

  • I've seen the shows about those girls.  I want to say Abby and...??  I don't quite remember their names.  They amaze me.  I think it's awesome how they work together.  I can't imagine learning how to drive a car together like they did.

  • I think the other girl's name is Brittany.

Yeah, H felt bad that he had such a jarring reaction but seriously how could you not? If would have startled me had I not known about them before.

I agree that it is fascinating how two people can make one body work.

  • i remember them.  from what i understand, from midchest down, they essentially share all organs, i.e. one person.  they can't feel sensations on the other side of each other.  but, somehow, each brain controls one side of the body in sync with the other (riding a bike, driving, etc.).
  • I remember them!! Wow! That's pretty amazing you saw them!
