Stupid, stupid DH!!!

DH pissed me the F off today.  We are currently on cycle 22 of extreme TTTC.  Let's see what we've tried so far-ovulation test strips for 10 consecutive months, charting like a mo-fo, Mucinex, spinach, pineapple, green tea, grapefruit juice, softcups to hold sperm by the cervix, and NOTHING!!!  Never a BFP, NEVER!! So I called today to FINALLY make an appt with the RE, it's a long story as to why it hasn't happened yet (insurance, last OBGYN was an idiot etc.) and they can actually see me for a consultation next Friday.  I'm jumping for joy thinking "wow we may finally get some answers and get on the road to our own little bump" and I call him and he tells me "We should wait 2 more months then make an appt. because if they put you on meds that's a lot to deal with and hopefully it will work in the next 2 months and you don't have to go at all."  UMMM  what planet is he on??? As if 22 cycles isn't long enough to wait, he wants me to wait 2 more.  Arrrrrggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    sorry... but I have to LOL at "extreme TTTC".   Sounds like a new X-Games sport.

    On a more serious note.  I am on you side.  WTH is he thinking.  I would love to know.   Keep your appt and get this ball rolling.

    That sucks. Men are real PITAs about going to the dr.

    I think he is afraid that it could be him and that it is harder for him to face.

    Another thing about seeing a specialist is that you have to hand over the "control" so to speak to another person and ask for "help". Sort of like asking for directions when you're lost. Men aren't so good at that.

    At least you do have a definate "deadline" from him. I would call the dr's office and see how long the waiting list is. It might be more than a month. Heck, I would make an appointment.

    I'll bet he's real hung up on the "wait exactly 2 years" thing.

    That's the only reason I can think of why he'd want to stretch 22 months to 24.

    He isn't an engineer by chance, is he??

    I agree with the conceding control asking for directions thing.  I would keep the appt. Its been long enough, and i love extreme TTC. That.is.awesome.
