Welcome, ladies, to the Expecting a Sibling Weekly Check-In! I will try to post this check-in each Friday around 10:00am-12p EST, so be looking for it! I'll also try to repost this around Saturday-Sunday so that others can add to our thread. If you'd like you can also put the date of your next checkup or u/s and I'll add next to your name so that we can send good thoughts your way on that particular day.
Below is the list of ladies who have joined us, 68 so far! If you would like to be added to our list, please leave your Bump Name, your real name (if you choose to share), and what number child this will add to your family. Newbies are always welcome, as well as proud step parents & those adopting!
For those who are newbies please read the post New to January Moms or The Bump? (thank you to mchupie!). It will help answer so many questions, and you can also grab the January Joy button code from that post. There is also a bump glossary located here. And an unofficial glossary located here. The unofficial glossary contains a lot more bump lingo.
Update on our ladies: IAM4UK found out she is expecting TWINS! Thoughts & Prayers going out to jenn&jim2003 whom had a D&C at 9w4d. Hope to see you back on the baby boards soon!
If you plan on staying team green/yellow/red etc.(because we all know there is more than one neutral color), let us know so we can mark you as such.
If you have any other thoughts/ideas/questions on our check-in please feel free to PM me!
General QOTD:How have you felt this week?
QOTD:What are you looking forward to most when your children get to know each other?
General QOTD:How have you felt this week? - I've swung back and forth between feeling awful to feeling pretty good.
QOTD: What are you looking forward to most when your children get to know each other? - Watching them play together and seeing how they teach each other things.
General QOTD:How have you felt this week? - Feeling better this week!
QOTD: What are you looking forward to most when your children get to know each other? - Watching them grow up together so close in age. It's going to be fun and I'm hoping they end up being really close because of it.
Also, can you switch my EDD? Its 1/15 instead of 1/19. TY!
Mostly feeling pretty good. I have a lot of days where I feel kind of dizzy or light headed, don't know how to explain it. And many times once I start eating I quickly start feeling blah and can't complete a meal very easily. No puking or serious nausea so far.
I can't wait to see my children play together and learn from each other, share memories etc. I hope they get along well and have a good relationship unlike me and my siblings.
Still feeling horrible, I'd love just one day where I felt OK. I don't need to feel great, just OK is fine by me.....
I cannot wait to see how much DD loves her new little brother or sister, she is obsessed with babies. It's actually one of the only things that motivates me to get out of bed in morning and force myself to eat.
I haven't changed my ticker yet, but my new due date based on my first u/s is 1/13, and my NT scan has been moved up to 7/6. Woo-Hoo!
General QOTD:How have you felt this week? I've felt pretty good this week. I never had many symptoms, but I'm pretty much down to only having the occasional exhaustion. I know it's a good thing, but I'll still be nervous until my next appointment (only 6 more days!)
QOTD:What are you looking forward to most when your children get to know each other? I cannot wait to see how DD reacts to having a baby around. I think she'll be a great big sister. She's a worrier like me (already), so I know she'll be a big help with the baby. And I know that this new LO is going to adore DD, so I can't wait to see that!
How have I felt? I have had a bit more energy which is nice. Last night was awful and I was up all night with diarrhea (sorry tmi).
QOTD: I have LOVED seeing my two boys and their brother relationship develop. They are really big into big tackling bear hugs right now with each other and it is so funny and cute. So, I'm just excited to see the new sibling relationship develop. We were around a new baby recently and both boys were so sweet and gentle and it made me all the more excited.

Could you add me, please? For now, I'm a January Mama (though I'm measuring a little behind, which may move me to February). My name is Erin, I'm due Jan. 29, this is #2 and I have a follow-up u/s on June 23.
General QOTD:How have you felt this week? A tiny bit better. I've been feeling really bad but this week it's been more come and go than constant. I'm tired as crap though!
QOTD:What are you looking forward to most when your children get to know each other? Them having play buddies!
"Hello, babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. At the outside, babies, you've got about a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies. God damn it, you've got to be kind."

QOTD:How have you felt this week? - Much better since I started on Promethazine. I should have called the Dr. earlier for medication for morning sickness. It is almost night and day.
QOTD: What are you looking forward to
most when your children get to know each other? - I'm really looking forward to seeing them become best buddies. DD is so sweet, I know she will be a good big sister.
General QOTD:How have you felt this week? I feel pretty good. I'm getting bigger and can tell my belly is going to grow a lot fast. My stomach already itches. Yuck! I'm strictly in maternity bottoms, but not tops yet. I'm holding out a little bit longer.
QOTD:What are you looking forward to most when your children get to know each other? Just giving each other kisses and playing nicely together. I also am looking forward to the relationships that they build when they are older. My brother and I had just a tight bond through high school. I can't wait to see if my kids have the same bond.
General QOTD:How have you felt this week? Yesterday I felt terrible...could not stop burping... and felt like I was constantly on the verge of throwing up. Today I actually feel pretty good. I turned 11 weeks today...wonder if that has something to do with it.
QOTD:What are you looking forward to most when your children get to know each other? Just playing together, taking pictures together and growing up with each other.

Gen QOTD: Still tired but I'm working a lot lately. Definitely some more energy and hope it keeps picking up!
QOTD: I really think this is going to turn DS's world upside down but once he gets used to it I think he'll be really sweet.
FYI: I plan to stay team green and my NT scan update is posted a couple posts up. My next u/s (anatomy scan) is Aug 5th and next appt with doc is July 21st.

QOTD: After a month of feeling like I have the flu, I can see I'm starting to turn the bend. I have a few hours a day that I feel good. Cannot wait til I'm out of the 1st tri.
QOTD: My daughter loves babies. I hope that as they grow they'll be close. My brother and I were not close. I also hope that they can entertain eachother while I cook or clean.
General QOTD:How have you felt this week? - Ehh tired mostly. Nausea still comes and goes. I have to eat to avoid it. This isn't going to bode well for weight gain! QOTD: What are you looking forward to most when your children get to know each other? - Seeing how they interact.
I feel miserable! Lots of morning sickness and headaches. I feel the worst for not being able to play with DS like I normally do.
I am most looking forward to seeing DS teach his little brother or sister. He loves to help Mommy and Daddy, and I know he's going to be a great big brother!
i'm starting to figure out what does and doesn't upset my stomach, so i've been feeling better as long as i keep up on my snacking. work has been less stressful this week as well, so i haven't been battling slight headaches, which has been a great change.
i am an only child, so i am interested in the relationship they will have with each other.
General QOTD: I've been worried this past week about the bleed they found in my first u/s, but I have a follow-up u/s today and it's gone! Besides that, I've just been exhausted.
QOTD: I can't wait to see DS show DC how to do things. DS isn't talking yet, but he is constantly making noise, so I'm betting that he'll be a talker and will constantly tell his little brother or sister what to do or how to do things.
ETA: Next u/s is July 14th, next appt is July 16th.
General QOTD:How have you felt this week? Better! Not 100% but better. I am just going to leave it there
QOTD:What are you looking forward to most when your children get to know each other? Just watching them interact. That is what I am looking farward to.
