cramps?

For those of you that have been off BC for a few cycles now, how early in your cycle do you start having cramps?

I was on BC for the better part of 10+ years, and I barely remember what cramps feel like, let alone when they start!  I've had some light cramping in the morning for the last 7 days and my AF should come between Sun-Tues...if this is PMS, I finally get what all the fuss is about!

    I never had cramps before I started taking BCP, but the month after I took my last pill (4 years ago), the sh!t hit the fan and I thought I was dying....seriously.  I had no idea what a cramp felt like and I'm sorry I had to find out. They have been excrutiating ever since :-(  To answer your question though, up until recently, my cramps started the first day of red flow and lasted no more than a day.  For the past 4 months, I have started having mild cramping a day or two before, and it feels like my ute is just sore.  Then the cramps really kick in on CD1.  If I take ibuprofen as soon I start feeling crampy, I am fine.  However if I hesitate (I HATE taking meds if I don't have to) then I'm in a very LARGE amount of pain for at least 3 hours before it seems the meds start working.  Sorry this was long winded, but I'm actually experiencing this right now and I am using your thread to vent.  Hope your cramps go away!!  THEY SUCK!

    On the pill I would get cramps the day I would start my period. I've had slight cramping since O to AF. It got a little more intense as the time got closer and I woke up in the middle of the night thanks to my cramping which was worse and AF started. So...I've been having cramps before AF which stinks because it makes me hope it's just implantation cramping since it was minor...haha. But now I know! And UGH...cramps just STINK! I forgot how much worse they were off BC!! :(

    Think of the cramps as practice for being knocked up.  Like Braxton-Hicks, or mini-labor.  :)

    This is me too. This cycle, I've cramped pretty much the whole thing. Last cycle, not until day AF arrived. Everybody is different. And, also, you are more super aware of every little twinge and cramp.

    Blah. This is no fun. 

     At least they are mild, unlike yours hislady...ouch! Hopefully they ease up for your soon!

    And you are so right about being super-sensitive to phantom symptoms maybebride!   I swear, I get a foot cramp and I immediately google it as a possibly pregnancy marker... :-P

    On BCP- I had cramping all day the day before and knew I would wake up to AF.  Yesterday, I was fine in the morning and then around 10am had horrible cramps for about an hour or two and then GUSH!  Seriously?!?  Give a girl some warning!

    BFP #1- 4/2011; DD Brynn born 12/2011

    BFP #2- 7/13; EDD- 4/2/14; Lost DS at 20 weeks (11/16/13) due to cord accident

    BFP #3- 3/14; EDD- 11/28/14; Lost DD at 15 weeks (6/7/14)- cause unknown

    To my angels- I held you every second of your lives and I'll love you every second of mine.
