Can anyone tell me the difference? As far as I know they are both done in the first tri-mester and both involve us for screening for downs, t18 and neural defects. Is there a benefit of one over the other? Which would you have done?
That's all I could tell by the materials the doc's office gave me too. Why not just have the sequential screen option and not the nt scan? Seems more thorough...? Does anyone know if either or both of these are typically covered by insurance?
It probably varies by insurance - best bet would be to call the number on the back of your card and ask. Your doctor's may also be familiar with what your insurance will/won't cover.

Re: what's the difference between NT screen and Sequential Screen
The sequential includes the NT scan and 2 rounds of bloodwork taken a different times. The NT scan is - well - just the NT scan.
If you're going to go for the NT, you might as well do the sequential, IMO.
