Small town dilemma

So I rarely post on this board, but I am way out in Baker City (if anyone even knows where that is! lol) and I am trying to find an RE, but the only ones I am finding are in Portland (6ish hours away) or Boise (2 hours away) So... has anyone used an RE inbetween the two places? The nearest OB is in La Grande (1 hour away) and I am currently seeing a Family doctor. I like him and he *seems* like he knows what he is doing in regards to PCOS and TTC #2.

Ugg moments when I wish I still lived in Portland! lol

Re: Small town dilemma

  • Oh that sucks!

I think that Oregon Reproductive Medicine has an office in Bend, also?

I loved Dr Bankowski at ORM in Portland.

But if I were in your shoes, I would probably go to Boise, cause it's so much closer for you!

Sorry I'm not really any help, haha Big Smile

  • I live in Bend and my OB is awesome! He's a fertility specialist, but not an RE. Although, Boise would still be your best bet. We're still about 4.5 hours away. Good luck!

  • Hi, I'm lurking... I used to live in La Grande, so I know where you are at!!

I don't know about RE's in the area...

Boise was always one of my top choice of "big cities" in the area because it was closer than Portland...

Have you thought about Tri-Cities? That was also one of my top choices for going shopping, getting things I needed etc. Perhaps they have the special care you are looking for?

If you are just looking for an OB, instead of family practitioner, the LG OBGYN office was always very nice to me, and they had a lot of very knowledgeable staff.

Perhaps just giving the LG OBGYN a call, they could give you the name of an RE in the surrounding areas?

    Hope that helps. :)
