I intentionally did not register for any car seat beyond the infant carrier because I didn't have the space to store them (so I didn't research them.) Now that it's getting to be time to think about the next car seat, I'm wondering about convertible car seats. Are these rear facing seats that can someday become front-facing, or do you have to buy a RF then someday buy a FF?
a.) I want to keep DD RF and
b.) I know this question sounds really stupid
Thanks!!
Re: Please tell me about convertible car seats...
I love my Convertible. Yes, it is rear facing until 1 year then turns to front facing.
You have to buy a convertible that is specifically meant to stay rear facing for longer.
I don't think that's true. Seats have a weight limit, not an age limit. Mine RF until 35 pounds, and I will keep her RF until she hits that weight.
It really depends on the seat you get. Some will probably last your child til booster age, but many will not. You need to get one with a high weight and height limit, like a Sunshine Kids Radian 80.
