Babies: 0 - 3 Months

Is it just me or is this weird?

So my cousin's wife is pregnant.  My cousin and I grew up together, are only a year apart and are more like brother and sister.

So his wife goes to the dr today to find out how far along she is, she posts on facebook and says dr has her going in for an ultrasound tomorrow.  A friend of her comments "That is great, I want a picture!"  Uh...Why would anyone want a picture of their friends fetus at 10-11 weeks?  I get siblings, grandparents, etc but someone who is just a friend not just wanting to see it but wanting one herself?

Does that sound weird to anyone else?

Re: Is it just me or is this weird?

  • Um yea, that is weird...

Maybe they just meant that they wanted her to post a picture of the ultrasound?

If they want an actual copy of the photo...then ya, that's kinda odd.

  • That does seem odd.

Although, when I took mine into work to show people, a girl asked me if I got extra copies and I said no and asked why and she was like "well don't you usually give them to people?" Um no, you don't. Its not a school picture, its an ultrasound and I will be keeping all of them thanks! lol So maybe its not weird to some people.

  • i think they mean "i want to see a picture"

this is what I think too.

  • My BFF would was happy to see (and requested to see) all the pictures from my ultrasounds.  That isn't strange at all.  If her friend is not close and/or wants to carry an ultrasound picture around with her...then that is very strange.
  • Maybe she wrote it wrong but she wrote she WANTED a picture, not she wanted to SEE a picture.  That is why I was asking if anyone else thought it was strange or maybe it is common and I am just behind the times.
  • I dunno, I have people who write, 'I want pictures!" On my FB wall, but I know they totally just mean they want me to POST pictures.
