I didn't with my first two pgs, because everyone said it was so bad. I know it's a vain practice, and I don't do it for fun. I'm only 29 and if I go 9 months without coloring my hair I will look 60. I've had gray hair since I was 18.
I got a handout from my OB with do's/dont's and coloring hair was on the "it's okay" list.
Thoughts?
Re: Do you/will you color your hair?
I just asked my OB this yesterday. I color my hair and let's just say that I'm way overdue for a touchup. He said the risk is small, but that he would recommend I waited until after the baby is born.
::sigh::
You should see how awesome my 1.5 inch-long dark roots look right now with my otherwise blonde hair.

I do heavy highlights and will be getting them done in a few months or so. I'll probably opt out of using the salon dryer (which is easy to inhale a lot of hair chemistry cooking) and just let it process in open air.
And like PP said, little to no chemical gets on the skin for highlights. I know because my hairstylist got a little on my neck one time. It burned badly enough that I had to ask the stylist to wipe it off that spot immediately
I didn't with DD but you can bet your a$$ I am keeping up with my highlights this time. I have so much gray hair it isn't funny!
Dr had always said it was fine as long as it didn't touch the scalp but DH didn't want me to do it. So I didn't .

My OB said it was totally fine. I had my hair colored twice when I was pg with DD
