  • Marie, Claire, Jane, June... I don't know - do you have anyone in your family you would like to honor?
A lot of years and a million tears finally led me to you.
After 7 years trying to concieve, 3 failed IUIs and 2 failed IVFs, my third IVF was a success!
My Christmas baby turned into a turkey bird! Dillon Richard was born at 34 weeks, 5 days on November 28, 2009 after 10 weeks on bedrest for preeclampsia.

  • My sister is Allissa Jane (Jane is our mother's name) and I always thought it was a good combo. Either way, I think something on the shorter side and with a hard consonant sound would be good.

I think I like a mn with two syllables, that doesn't start or end in "a", to go with Alyssa and your ln.

  • My immediate thought was Alyssa Paige, but I'm not sure if you're a fan of the "P" with your last name.

    Some other ideas:

    Alyssa Claire
    Alyssa Faith
    Alyssa Kate
    Alyssa Lauren

I agree. I think the two syllable names sound softer since our last name is one syllable. I really like the sound of Alyssa Marie, and a lot of people have recommended it, but my DH is Jewish, so I think Marie or Maria or any variation of Mary is out... his mother would have a heart attack. lol

Alyssa Jane does have a nice ring to it. Does anyone ever call your sister AJ?
