windham area-childbirth class?

has anyone taken or interested in taking the marathon child birth classes that some hospitals offer?

    We took the 6-week class at our hospital.  We have a lot of friends that took the one-day marathon (we are actually in the minority amongst our friends for taking the 6-week class).  Everyone we know that took the marathon classes says the same things, waste of money, waste of time, didn't learn anything, no way you can absorb it all.  The only positives that I have ever heard is that it was over in 1 day.  On the other hand, the extended class was nice and we got a lot out of it, we were able to meet and connect with other parents expecting around the same time, really got to learn the relaxation and birthing techniques, and were able to process the information each week in order to ask questions the next.  I would totally recommend the weekly course, but that's just me. BTW we are almost 39 weeks.

    We chose to go the surprise route.  Hopefully we will find out in a few days!
