Anyone have a Nap Nanny?

And has it helped with any issues? I know it says don't put it in the crib but I really don't see leaving it on the floor either.

Re: Anyone have a Nap Nanny?

  • I myself don't have one (although I am seriously contemplating getting one,) but a good friend of mine does, and her baby LOVES it!  I think it more or less takes the place of a bouncy seat, and is also similar to the Fisher Price Rock and Play Sleeper...but it doesn't rock obviously.  She kept hers on top of a divan/recliner type thing in her living room while she was in the room.  If you don't have pets or anything I don't see anything wrong with keeping it on the floor though, it is pretty big.  The baby is strapped in and everything and it looked very safe, also the fabric is super soft!  She says it really helps with her baby's gassiness/reflux after feedings since it helps keep him more elevated/upright.  I want to get one just to have an additional safe place to sit LO while I am getting a shower/doing housework, etc.  She also mentioned that her older toddler liked to lounge in it while watching TV and movies!  I don't know if it has an age limit on it, but the size of it looks like it could easily accomodate up to a 2-3 year old for this purpose too.  HTH!

  • I have it...LooOooOoove it! By DS has reflux and its a lifesaver...and I DO place it in his crib at night for him to sleep in because he cannot sleep in his back at all. I think they just say not to for legal purposes.. ;-)

  • It says on the website there is no weight limit. I am considering one for dd who I think has reflux. I am calling the pedi in the am but she can't sleep any way but upright or she starts screaming/spitting up.
  • I am OBSESSED with the Nap Nanny. It is seriously life changing.  I keep mine on the floor because I don't want to take any risks but I really haven't had any trouble with this. My daughter can only sleep at an incline too because of reflux and the Nap Nanny has been so great for this purpose.  She actually sleeps through the night now! I never thought I'd see the day! I forgot what it was like to sleep more than an hour at a time.  And yes! I agree with what was said above- her cousins all fight over it to watch TV in and hang around in when they come visit so I know we will get use out of it for a long time to come! Good luck with your decision!
