3rd Trimester

I keep watching 16 & Pregnant

And I feel soooo bad for these girls!
Like 9 out of 10 of the boyfriends don't even care to be responsible.

Maybe it's just my maternal instinct kicking in, but I want to go pummel some sense into those idiots.

Re: I keep watching 16 & Pregnant

  • I feel bad for all of them really...even the guys because they are just kids but are expected to all of a sudden become adults.  If any of my kids got pg when they were that young I would just raise the kids for them and let them have some semblance of a normal teenage life.

I cried almost every episode of season 2.

Especially the one where the guy called the girl a strech mark *** (or something like that) and said the baby was a mistake.

    Bawled!

  • I get irritated by it, but what irritates me more is when the girls are SO set on this guy helping them out that she will do ANYTHING.  The guy will cheat on her and all and she says "the baby needs a father!"  You'd be better off alone dear.  Leave that loser alone.

My mother always says that young girls should not rush into marriage with a man just because he got her pregnant.  There are some losers out there and just because they donated the sperm to make the baby does NOT mean that they will make a good partner or father.

I was so crying so hard too.  What kind of person says something like that?!?!

  • We're so privileged to have real men in our lives

I guess at least it makes me thankful for thatSmile

I don't know what I would do if that happened to my kid...

  • I agree....the boys on that show always make me angry.

Oh my gosh I'm watching that one right now...
That kid is such a douche-o-la
It makes me mad that she gave the baby his last name
    I hope she changes it

  • It is so sad.  But what gets me is that half the time the girls and especially the guys think it isn't such a big deal.  They don't take it serious.  I know it has to be soooo hard to try to raise a child as a child yourself, but they have to realize how much these babies depend on them.  They aren't just playing house.

  • Sometimes I feel sory for them but mostly I just think they should've known better. If you're old enough to have sex you're old enough to know how to prevent pregnancy. But yeah, it's mainly when the guys become loosers that I feel sorry for the girls. Why do they fall for all those lines?!?!

Because they are teenagers.  They don't exactly think of consequences at that age.

this.. they all knew what could have happened.. if they weren't ready there are other options theres a lot of good families who want to adopt.

but ya most of the guys are super big d-bags. but than again there are some girls that just dump their kids on their parents and go out on dates and party. and i don't like the excuse "im a teenager" well yeah you are but you have a child, you are now an adult you have responsibilities.

    juuust my oppinion. Huh?

  • Well let me first say I cant stand that show and they should never put that on TV. They make everything look so picture perfect and its not...Im not 26 expecting my first and the father of the baby is not in the picture :( Its prolly better he isnt. Cause to this day he has told me that he wishes everyday that I woudl have made a different choice. Which makes me so mad. Watching that show just makes me mad cause some of these guys even tho they are dbags they still want to be a part of their childs life....(SOME of them) and then you have guys like my babys father who is mature enough to know what the hell he was doing and just wants to walk out and not do a damn thing. Sorry I had to vent a lil I just cant stand watchign that show anymore.
  • I was entertained by it for a while, but it honestly just got depressing. They always ask the girls or couple why they didn't use birth control, and they have some stupid answer. So many of these kids seem completely clueless. Totally unacceptable on so many levels.

Also, some of them have the most messed up family lives and it makes me sad how many of their parents are whack jobs (Catelynn's mom anyone?).

Some of the kids have really impressed me with the way they stepped up. But mostly, it's just hard to watch now.
