I am making a "first year" scrap/photo book for Alexa and I was wondering what person I should write it in?
a) As if Alexa was writing it, "I had fun at the zoo." and "I went camping with Mama"
b) As written by an outsider, talking about Alexa and Mama & Daddy, "Mama took Alexa to the zoo." and "Alexa gives Daddy lots of kisses."
c) As written by me or Eric and I, "We took Alexa to the zoo." and "Alexa gives us lot of kisses"
One more question - Do you think it looks ok to have one page spreads, so when you are reading it the two pages you are looking at are about different event/subjects at times or should I do them all two pages?
Re: Scrap/photo book opinions
I like it from Alexa's perspective, but any of them are fine as long as you keep it consistent throughout.
I personally always do 2 page layouts, but it's fine to do just single page layouts. I just got used to doing them in the 2 page format so now I can't do them any other way.
hmm...I think either from Alexa's perspective or yours, but not third person.
I think 1 page layouts are fine - I don't really think one looks better than the other.
I make my scrapbooks as ?living love letters?. I want her to know what was feeling/ thinking when the event happened so I write everything out as a letter i.e. :
? today was your very first time swimming. You had so much fun and didn?t even mind that the waster was so cold?
or
? we went to the doctor today and he says you are growing so fast and should be here in 2 more weeks. We can?t wait for you to come.?
I think 1 page spreads are fine. I alternate between 1 & 2 page spreads throughout all my books.
Are you doing digital or traditional?
