Some People! Vent (kinda long!!!)

My DH and I both work at an elementary school that is in an impoverished area of town. During my DHs first year there, he encountered a student who was in fifth grade and really took to him. They began hanging out like a mentor/mentee relationship. This kid ended up moving in with us at the beginning of his 7th grade year. His mom lives in the projects and full assistance and has 6 kids that she can't care for, so she let him go with no problems. Well he is now going to 9th grade and his mom all of a sudden is pressuring him to move back in with her where he will have no chance of doing anything! Im so upset I don't know what to do. Before we were able to concieve our twins, we thought this could be our only child. He doesn't want to leave, but when his bio mom is pushing him whats he going to do, ya know? She sees that hes doing well and wants him to come back to her and help her with her other kids! I just don't understand how some people can be sooooo selfish!!!!!! Thanks for listening
