How much was your procedure and meds? Just trying to get a rough idea. We are meeting with our RE tomorrow morning and I have a feeling he might suggest IUI based on my low AMH or maybe even IVF. I will definitely ask tomorrow, but I'm really curious to know what others are being charged. Thanks
Re: If you were OOP for your IUI...
I haven't had an IUI and we probably don't have the same Dx. However, because my RE thinks I am DOR based on AMH of .6 and a lower/normal AFC, he would either have me do IVF or injectibles with TI. I can't remember the cost for an IUI itself, but he didn't think its benefit would be worth the cost in our situation (no male factor and no cervical type issues). Injects & TI were still going to be pretty pricey. He thought the injects would probably run me around $1500 (because he thinks I will be a poor responder) and u/s and b/w for monitoring would cost about $1,000.
I am not sure how helpful that is since I don't have exact numbers or anything... Hopefully, someone else can give you some more info.

I'm not out of pocket, but my insurance covers exactly 50% so I can tell you what OOP prices are. Now I'm not doing meds, but for my RE, it's $242 for the actual insemination visit, and 237 for EACH monitoring visit. If you're on meds they'll do multiple. There's also a "pre-med" visit that is 186 and covers baseline ultrasound and bloodwork (I think).

Baby Evangeline is here!
My insurance covered ultrasounds, b/w, and clomid. We paid $150 per IUI and since we did b2b each cycle that was $300, and we were also on injectable meds along with the clomid & that was $700 per cycele. Sperm wash was included, but they did charge a delivery fee which I thought was stupid.
Total was about $1000 each cycle.
After 4 years, 3 failed IUIs and 2 failed IVFs our surprise miracle is here!

Mine is going to run ~$1000 to ~$1500 depending on how many ultrasounds I need. This is for everything including meds (femera & trigger).
