ok, so this morning's u/s was not as good as i thought.....

in TTC After a Loss 6 Months+
I just got a call from my nurse at the RE's office.....the u/s tech was wrong............I still have a cyst on my right ovary.......my RE is cancelling monitoring for me this month and wants me in the office next month to discuss a different kind of treatment.   He feels that IUI will not work.  He feels that my ovaries are Poly Cystic and between that and my dh's 1% morphology he is back on the IVF train.   I knew it because that is what he has pushed from the beginning.......however, I just wanted the chance to try other alternatives.    Im trying not to get upset but going from thinking things are on track to this is as Im sure you all know, FREAKING FRUSTRATING!!!!

    I'm so sorry. I know how much it sucks to get that news.  Can they try injectibles for you?  I know Clomid can make the cysts grow, but I'm not sure about the shots.  I hope we can both avoid the IVF crap!  ((hugs))

    Honestly it's the first Im hearing about the PCOS, so I don't know what the options would be. I would definately like to try something else if possible rather then IVF, that is for sure...................I got so emotional that I didn't get to ask the nurse any questions.........she knew I was in for CD3 u/s and she asked me again about what cd i was on and it was odd the way that she asked and I didn't call her on it because I wasn't thinking straight.......I did notice AF was on the light/short side................I don't know......I feel like Im just rambling   :)...................Im just going to hope really hard that you and I both get our "break BFPs"

    I don't know much about PCOS, but maybe Meformin could help you.  Are you going to talk to the RE again?  I would try to make a list of all of your questions so you don't forget anything.  I hope you can figure something out!

    shoot. I am so sorry this is so frustrating!!
    m/c#1 07/16/08 (11 weeks), m/c#2 10/10/08 (8 weeks). and then nothing since except every test possible (no answers). IUI#1 and #2: BFNs Super lucky to be buddies with Peetie. Our out of nowhere, surprise DD born 5/29/2011

    DD(9)DD(5.5)DS(3)DS(born 2/1/11) July 2006, lost a baby at 8 weeks, natural miscarriage , May 2009 lost Zoe Eliana at 17 weeks no reason known, possible under developed organs. Lost two more babies in September 2009 at 7 wks 4 days. Had myomectomy surgery to remove a large fibroid in November 2009.

    I'm sorry Erica. Your ovaries being poly cystic shouldn't be a big deal...thats one of the easiest causes of female infertility to treat.  Understand your DH's morphology may be the bigger problem driving towards IVF.  I understand where you're coming from though, my doctor wants us to go to IVF, but we were able to convince him to try IUI again.  Its a big jump to make.

    I do feel like my RE has pushed IVF from day 1 and I, like you, convinced him that IUI is something that I wanted to try.  We've only gotten to have one since the last 3 cycles have been cancelled, so I don't think it's really been given a chance...........however, on the flip side there is so much that has to happen for them to do one and then the higher risk of another ectopic, that just really scares me, as I know you can related........then like you said my dh's morphology is really not great so a part of me is like lets just do it..........such hard decisions, that is for sure.   How are you feeling about diong IUI again after your ectopic?
