exzema remedies??

My baby has major exzema flare ups and right now we apply the prescribed hydrocotisone and top it with vaseline and a gauze wrap to keep moisturized... its sad to see how itchy his face gets and we cant do much on the face... any suggestions? I have tried my Breastmilk but its such a short fix :-/

Re: exzema remedies??

  • eucerin cream (at night) / lotion (during day)... that and the hydrocortizone work for my LO. during flare ups, i put it on several times during the day, and load it up at night time. and just a little bit (for prevention) when his skin is clear. poor babies Sad

  • I found a lotion that says it's for Eczema and it contains hydrocortisone in it.  It has worked wonders.  It was down the aisle at Target that carries all the anit-itch stuff.
  • We use hyrdocortizone on his face for flare-ups.

  • The only thing that we have found to work is Gentle Naturals Exzema Cream. Aquafor didn't really work and even the prescribed cream didn't work too well for us. For some reason the regular hydrocortisone worked better for us but nothing has worked better than Gentle Naturals.
  • Our pedi recommend Eucerin lotion.
