Ooops! Expired Cheetos?

So I am having a bad pregnant lady day.  Just failed an online quiz for my summer class and then got in a little argument on the phone with DH and balled.  Decided to take it out on a bag of cheetos puffs from the cupboard.  It hadn't been opened yet.  I just dug in, now it's about half gone and I noticed on the bag the fresh by date was May 18th!!!!  Do you think I'm going to get sick now?!

    Sorry your day isn't going so well.  I don't think you will get sick especailly since they hadn't been opened.  And it's just a fesh date, not like a use by date one milk!  You should be fine!

    It's not like milk, Cheetos don't really go "bad" -- they just get stale.

    How long were they sitting in your cupboard?!  I view those almost like I do canned goods - it takes forever for them to go bad!  Anyway, since it wasn't open, I'm sure you're fine Smile  Sorry you're having a bad day.

    No. The worst thing that happens with Cheetos is that they get stale. If you didn't notice anything off you are fine.

    Years ago there were no expiry dates on anything other than milk products, bread, eggs, meat...and we did just fine.

     

    I am sure everything will be ok.
