DD is 8 1/2 months old, I pump while at work bc I really want to BF for a year. When I am home she nurses every 4 hours in the daytime. I have been pumping 2x a day at work as if she were nursing at those times. I only work 3 days a week (yes, I am VERY lucky to have that!) Can I go down to pumping 1x per day at this point? Or do you think that will affect my supply and I won't have enough for her when I am home. Anybody have experience with this? She gets solids 3x per day also, so I know she's not "dependent" on BM at this point. TIA!
Re: BF/Pumping Q
If you want to BF for at least another 3.5 months I would not drop to 1 pump yet. My DD is 15 months and I dropped to 1 pump during day 2 months ago and I have definitely noticed that it affected my supply.
As many posted yesterday, around 9 months there is often a slump and I had a dip in supply at this time, too.

Life is good!
I continued to pump 2x a day until she was 12 months. Everyone is different, but I found that the longer I was breastfeeding, the more a subtle change would affect me.
You can try to drop a session ans see how you do, but you might not be able to pick your supply back up - so it could be a risk. Do what you feel comfortable with.
Is there a reason you want to drop a session (don't get me wrong, I know how much of a pain pumping is)? I still BF 3x a day and I don't pump at all - so you never know!
Just getting busier at work and its getting harder to be consistent with it, it feels like it takes a lot of time out of my day and makes it hard to keep up on my workload - worth it to keep BFing but a PITA all the same! Thanks ladies, for your input.
