Does lightening make you crazy?

I don't know if this is because of lightening or just how far along I am.

I am 35 weeks and 4 days today. I dropped on Thrusday. So that seems to follow the trend. But I started getting this really bad burning, pulling pain on my cervix so I went to the emergency room after talking to a nurse. She examined me and so did the doctor, convinced that I couldn't be feeling my cervix. They tested me for a UTI but it came back negative, then the doctor did an internal. She was shocked to report she could push baby's head up from inside (I wanted to yell at her to leave it the F alone, lol, internals SUCK).

So now they believe me that the baby's head is pushing on cervix and causing pain. But what can I do about it? They suggested a sling, but it is not available in my small town.

So anyways now I'm going crazy. Nesting has kicked up a notch, I cleaned my fridge yesterday and the rest of the kitchen is up today. I keep wandering from room to room thinking there is something I should be doing but not knowing what. "All my bags are packed, I'm ready to go!"

Physically its like baby has never been more active! Maybe my hips are more sensitive then my ribs but wow this kid does not stop! And I can feel the pain when he stretches and hits my cervix. My whole belly seems tighter but if I'm having braxton hicks, they are not as distinct as before.

My prenatal instructor figures I have two weeks from when I dropped. The doctor didn't say anything. But I really feel like its going to be soon. Has anyone known people or themselves to just "know" when the baby is going to come?

Sorry for this long blog about "lightening crotch" but I'm really worked up and excited. I just want to talk to everyone and have everyone's opinion!
