I started mine months ago...but I've been admitted to the hospital 2x during this pregnancy and was tired of trying to direct my husband to where to find certain things I needed.
Not til about 38 weeks. I don't get why people stress so much over the hospital bag and pack it WEEKS in advance. Labor takes a while. More than likely, you'll have plenty of time to pack what you need.

This is my first, but this is the way I've been thinking. I doubt I'll pack anything until I actually go into labor! Everyone around here stresses out so much about the damn hospital bag, I don't get it. I'll probably just throw a few things together on my way...
I'll be starting mine today after DH takes me on a little shopping trip to Target and ON for nursing tanks, boy shorts, and yoga pants. He's been on me to get it started since we found out that LO had dropped and could make an appearance in the next few weeks...

I meant to start packing for DS1 around 36 weeks but procrastinated. My water spontaneously broke at 38 weeks (no contractions until I was at the hospital) and I had to walk around the house with a towel between my legs to pack my bag. I don't want to do that again. Not everyone goes early and not everyone's water breaks, but it's nice to have it done early.
Getting started on that tomorrow. A lot of things can't go in until last minute anyway, but it will be nice to have at least a few things prepared just in case.

If you guys are like me you'll buy the comfy yoga pants and granny panties, then you'll hit 39 weeks and realize nothing fits and will start swiping those things out of your bag

I'm not really stressed about the bag (obviously since I'm 38 weeks and have yet to pack it) but I do wanna get it done in advance because I know that if I wait til I'm in labor, I'll likely be distracted by the excitement and forget something important.

I'm not stressed about it, but my DH is. So to appease him we packed our bags this past weekend. There is nothing in the bag that I need until we go to the hospital so who cares if it is already packed? I have a small list of "go time" things that will get packed last minute.
36 weeks is what I've been telling myself. That last weekend in June is our catch all, 'finish everything' weekend before baby. Then we'll just be sitting around and waiting

I packed most of my stuff yesterday. I still need to buy a couple of things & there are some things I can't pack until the last minute, but it's 90% complete. So I guess week 37 for me!

When I was 38 weeks with DD I went to the doctor and found out I had to be induced at that instant and had to check-in to the hospital. Not everything goes perfect, and you can't always labor at home for awhile. There is nothing wrong with being a little prepared.
This time I am hoping to have most of it done by 37 weeks.

i am packing mine before 38 weeks because i have known too many women that wait until then and end up going to the hospital before. two of my coworkers went with no bags packed.
