For those who bathe WITH their LOs

Do you put your LO in a swim diaper while you're in the tub together (just in case LO decides to poop while in the tub)??? I'm thinking I might do this until I'm ready to wash her bum, so that we get some quality play time, and I don't get pooped on... again! If you don't use a swim diaper, how do you prevent yourself from getting pooped on, or do you just pray LO doesn't need to poo?

    Got pooped on once. Just stood up and turned the shower on. It was gross, but not the end of the world.

    Good to know most babes haven't pooped in the tub! I'm a bit concerned, because while we do take Evelyn to the pool, she HAS pooped in the pool once or twice (in the swim diaper, of course), and she's never been submersed in water at home since she was a few days old (she hated baths, so we started showering with her... now she's hating showers, and our next place has a bathtub that I can use... can't wait!). I'd rather be safe than sorry... at least the first few times! Was just wondering how others did it. Smile

    I've been bathing/showering with DD since the beginning, and we've never had a problem. Well, one time, she peed as I was bringing her into the tub, but I usually shower with her, so it wasn't a big deal. She has never pooped on me, thank God. Smile

    nope. DS2 has never pooped in the tub and DS1 (who is almost 4) has never pooped in the tub either. Well with one exception when he was really sick and he sharted LOL. Needless to say it is a risk I am willing to take for the ease of bathing them and for the bonding time.

    I don't have a tub so we shower together. But I used a WashPOD (like a tummy tub) until he outgrew it and now we have that duck inflatable tub thing. DS loves to splash around We've been doing this since the way beginning and ::knock on wood:: no poop here.
