back from OB appt

I already checked in, so I'm doing this separate.

I know that I'm not supposed to get excited, but I can't help it! The baby's head is already low, I'm 1 cm dialated and 50% effaced. I realize that I could stay like this for a while, but it's making me excited since I've been trying to reason with myself that the baby might not arrive until August. When I had the internal 3 weeks ago as a precaution for my back pain, my cervix was still high and closed. Like Morgan's OB, mine said that they will not stop labor at this point. He said that the only thing they would do is inject steroids.

I think this appointment was the kick in the behind that I needed to really get stuff done. I'm pretty on top of getting BR stuff done since that's fun, but now I need to get my *ss in gear to get work stuff ready for my departure.

woot woot! even if you don't progress soon, it's still a good kick in the pants to get everything ready! I won't have my first internal for 2 weeks, I'm curious what we'll find out.

Yay! Thats so exciting! I'm hoping for some progress at my appt. on Thursday because I could use a kick in the pants to get me to finish some last projects.

Holy crap, this is really setting in. These July babies are right around the corner. Ashley is full term, & you're 50% effaced?! How did this go so fast? I think we also need a poll about what order these babies are going to come in.

It's weird...from the stories I have heard from friends/family, the more you progress the longer you stay that way and the less you progress the earlier you go!

I have heard stories of no dilation or effacement at one appointment to delivering the next day! And then some who were 2 cm dilated and 80% effaced for weeks.

You just never know!
