what a relief!

My brother and his fi were going to have a simple ceremony at a lake in mid-august. Everything was booked but fi's dad was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and his health has definitely taken a turn for the worse. So they moved the wedding up to June 26 but the original pastor couldn't perform the ceremony.

Thanks to a little word of mouth and lots of phone calls, I found one and he confirmed. I'm so relieved. My brother has been putting most of this together b/c his fi is understandably busy and preoccupied with a lot of other things right now. I'm just trying to help him understand in "guy terms" that this can still be special and not such a formality.

  • How stressful for them. It sounds like it's going to work out, and will be beautiful.

I know. As an outsider looking in, it puts everything in perspective.

  • This is wonderful that you are trying to help them pull this together.  It will be really special for her to have had him there at the wedding if it's possible to pull it together.  My FIL passed away from pancreatic cancer in 2007.  He was diagnosed and passed away within three months.  It's an awful disease.  I'm sorry your family is going through this.
