She knew I about our TTC journey and when we got pregnant, she was the only one you thought we were having a boy. I was talking to her and asked her what made her think we were having a boy. She said its because studies have shown that couple who use OPKs and timing are more likely to conceive a boy. When I thought about it, it could make sense based on the whole timing for a girl or boy theory. So I thought I would see if this board supports that...

It's called the Shettles Method. The thought is that sperm carrying the Y chromosome swim faster and die sooner. If you have sex closer to ovulation the idea is that you're more likely to conceive a boy. Conversely, sperm carrying an X chromosome swim slower and can live up to 5 days. If you have sex quite some time before ovulation X sperm can live longer. All of this is theory.
I am having b/g twins....so for me personally....that theory did not clearly work.
