how much are you taking? I'm on Duet DHA prenatals and then I take a Ferrex 150 daily. My iron levels are pretty low, so I'm not sure what the next step will be. I see a hematologist on Thursday.
Be sure you are taking the iron supplement with vitamin C (ex: take it with juice), and take it a couple hours after or before your regular prenatal. The calcium in the prenatal will block the absorption of the iron.
My hemoglobin was low at my appointment last week and she said I was borderline anemic. She told me to take an iron supplement every other day. I am taking the Target generic of Slow Fe.

I passed my 1 hr GD test but came out anemic. My OB told me to take 325mg of iron twice a day (once at night, once in the am) and to try taking it with citrus.

I am taking this, it works great! I went from 9.8 to 12.7 in 2 weeks. Doesn't taste bad either, the liquid is easier for your body to absorb and it is non constipating...
i take my prenatals (w/ iron) daily, and also take 150mg iron supplements twice a day. It seems like a lot, but that's what my OB said to take. He said our bodies are terrible at absorbing iron (even if i take with OJ) so not to worry about an overdose.

This is what I am taking too. I was a vegetarian when I had DD so I was actually taking iron twice a day then, plus prenatal. That meant pills with every meal. They say that caffeine inhibits absorption too. So my morning routine is water, breakfast, iron and oj, then a half hour later.. coffee!
