Opinions seem to vary but personally I think we're out of flu season so if you don't let people paw your LO I'd take him or her out whenever you want

I was being overly cautious, so we waited until about 3 weeks. I think 2 weeks is fine though.

like pp said... because its not a flu/cold season I think the guards are let down a little. I took LO out at about 2 weeks and we went everywhere... We just lived out life and didnt make a big deal out of it. The only thing I questioned and called dr. on was taking him to the hospital to see my gma!

I see you went to the beach as well! my friend wants to go to the beach Friday, but wasnt sure if I was ready to take my LO down there yet. 1.5 hours away and 85 degrees for the beach.

We took him out to his sisters soccer game at 3 days old. We didn't take him anywhere crowded until he was 2 wks old.

My pedi said *TWO MONTHS* which I thought sounded a little much. We took him to his grandparents house this past weekend (but it was just us and them...no big crowds). I think we'll take him to church this weekend, and we're seriously needing a grocery store trip, so thats probably gonna happen this week too. I'm thinking of getting a sling since he seems to be most comfortable on my chest.

Pedi said get out of the house it's good for you and her. We go everywhere. First week grocery store and church. we just don't allow people to touch her and get in her face.

I wear DS whenever we go to those places, so we went right away. No one has been brave enough to stick their germy hands between my boobs and DS.

My LO was 4 days old when DH and I had to take him to the emergency room because my incision was bleeding profusely and I was loosing a lot of blood....not a fun night.

He was 12 days when I took him to the mall with me. I had to find a dress for my friend's wedding. I only went to one store and in 45 minutes I found a nice cocktail dress and we were on our way home.

LO will be going to church for the first time on Father's Day.

Our pedi said 8 weeks at a minimum.

We lasted 4 weeks and then got told by another different pedi at our one month appt that she was fine to go out whenever.

2 days, he had to get his bilirubin checked & we went to breakfast on the way home from that, same thing at 3 days. Then here & there since that, close to every day actually.
