i was just wondering if anyone else out there was takin premetrium a progestrone supplement.  My doc just put me on that today..just wanting some feedback.  Had one miscarriage and currently pregnant again around 4 weeks!

Re: anyone takin premetrium?

  • Yep, I was.  There are a lot of women on here that were/are.  The only feedback I have is it made me tired and constipated, but other then that it was fine Big Smile

  • I was on it for the first trimester.

My progesterone was dismal (8.6 at 5 weeks) and my OB wasn't optimistic.  They put me on prometrium.  Things are going great and the baby has appeared very healthy and happy via ultrasound :).  I am now on 17P shots which is another form of progesterone supplementation to help prevent pre term labor.  .

  • I'm on progesterone suppositories twice a day.  Pick yourself up a whole bunch of liners, it's going to get a little messy.  Good luck

You give me hope that I might be able to have this pregnancy pull through.  :)

  • I'm on it.  The only side effect I have seen is that it exaggerates early pregnancy symptoms. Especially for me because I take it every cycle so I got the symptoms even in months I wasn't pregnant.
  • messy..saying you bleed a lot more?
