Ok so now I am having a TERRIBLE time sleeping. I have a snoogle pillow that has always helped me sleep great during this pregnancy. Last night I could not get comfortable for the life of me.
my back hurt, my hips hurt, my legs had terrible cramps in them, I couldn't breathe, I was up every hour-two hours going pee... Then when DH left for work I tried sleeping in his spot.. Nope, none of it helped! I am EXHAUSTED!
Any suggestions? Are we allowed to take any sleeping pills
TIA ladies.

Re: Sleeping troubles..anyone else?
No suggestions but raises hand up high.
I'd kill for a good nights sleep...
Poop...I'm in the same boat. For me it's getting up 6 times a night and no matter what side I sleep on my hand on the underneath arm goes numb. Ugh...
I'm so uncomfortable that some nights I feel like I want to cry. I get so frustrated! I have a boppy pregnancy pillow, but for the past week or so, it has made me really uncomfortable. I quit using it.
I moved to our guest bed, which has a pillow top mattress and it really helped. My firm mattress doesn't contour to my body, so this softer one works wonders!
I hear tylenol PM is fine. I haven't taken it yet, but that's what I'm told.
I have been pretty lucky with sleep but last night was awful for me too. I have a snoogle and no matter what I did - i was uncomfortable. That combined with potty breaks are leaving me pretty tired today.
I was so looking forward to sleep last night - changed my sheets and was so tired going to bed. Guess its our bodies getting ready to be up all night for when LO is here.
I have the same problems -- pain in the joints, contractions during the night, just not getting to a comfy spot. Half the time I end up moving to the guest room at 2AM because I don't want to keep my husband awake.
Yes, you can take PM Tylenol (but it's pretty mild and doesn't seem to do much for me) and I've also heard Unisom is ok, but that seems a bit heavy for me. It would make me nervous to take it, so maybe you could talk to your doc about it first.
PS. If I only got up every TWO hours, I'd be a happy camper...I feel like some nights I'm up every hour, on the hour. UGH.
I know for me it seems like since around 28-30 weeks or so I am sleeping progressibely WORSE every week (36 weeks this week). Ugh. I've tried every possible pillow configuration and position - nothing seems to make much difference. I take something every week or so to try to get in at least one night's sleep for the week btu don't really like doing that.
I love (hate) how people keep telling me how it is only going to get worse, is to prepare mme for what is to come, etc. Not because it isn't true but because it is completely different. It is exhausting and totally frustrating for it to be nighttime, quiet, in bed, tired and just not be sleeping! That is not at all the same as not getting much sleep because I am actually needed and/or doing something else.
I've been in the same boat since ~28 weeks. Hip pain, crotch pain, too hot, too cold, etc.
Last night I developed restless leg completely out of the blue. My legs kept twitching, and finally I had to get out of bed. I cried! I felt like I was never going to sleep again.
Finally though I became so tired I passed out. I'm going to ask my MWs about Tylenol PM though---I can't imagine going through the next 4-8 weeks without a solid night's rest.

When I was pregnant and having a hard time sleeping, my OB ok'd regular strength Benedryl (two tablets before bed)
That worked wonders.
