help me with Father's Day gift

so I had planned on doing the 3 picture photo collage of her with the letters D-A-D in a nice frame (i'm sure you've seen them all over the bump) but now I am having problems getting her to look at the camera and not just eat the letters LOL

so do I abort and save this idea for next year? or do I go forward w/these and let him remember this cute phase w/these photos?

I can try to take some more pics later but here are the best ones I have so far (they are ok/silly but aren't super great if you ask me) link

I think it's super cute that she's eating the letters! And I like that she's not looking at the camera. I mean, maybe use one where she is and the other two where she's not? I think it shows personality. Stick out tongue

I completely agree with these girls. I haven't seen this before on the bump but this it is the absolute cutest idea!

my plan is to frame each individual photo in a frame that has 3 slots or to make a single collage with the 3 and then frame that 1 photo...i'll have to see what kind of frames i can find.....if i don't find a frame i like, then i'll do a photo card

I think the only problem you'd have is picking just 3 shots from all of those! She's soooo cute, especially when she's munching on the letters, lol!

I am doing this too. The local Michaels has been sold out of "A" for quite some time (I wanted to put Jack's foot prints on all letters of his name to hang on his wall) so I better get myself to another Michaels soon and get busy taking the pictures.

I got the 3 opening frame from PB for $23. The nice looking one at Micheals was $29.99 (could use a 40% coupon to make it $18). I'm sure there are other options out and about too.

**edit - the PB one (4"x6" openings) in white, black or espresso IS $23, with free shipping online and there are 10% off codes floating around I think. I ordered something with my one time use code already or else I would share...

you can also get the letters at Joann fabrics, that is where I got mine I know you can also get them at Hobby Lobby and AC moore if you live near one of those

thanks for the tips on the frames, I wonder if it would ship in time for Father's Day from PB? might have to go get one...

ETA: for anyone else who is looking to do the same thing - I don't think PB will ship in time but I did find similar ones online at Aaron Brothers and there is a store by me...they're $19.99 and you can print out a 40% off coupon online for them.

I say go for it, those pictures are so cute! Even if she's not looking at the camera, she's obviously totally loving the letters! I think my favorite shots are where she's eating the letters or holding them crooked or sideways.

Agreed! I did the same thing...going to pick up the photos today from Costco. I couldn't get Ashton to look at the camera while holding the letters. I am going to do this as an annual thing as long as Ashton wants to do it. I think it will be cute to see them grow each year with the letter.
