My ob/gyn office closed! I hate finding new Dr's

My sister just called and told me our ob/gyn office closed on Friday. They have been crazy disorganized and have been going through Dr's like crazy lately.

My sister is now 20 weeks pregnant and has to find a new dr stat. I need to find one too. I am pretty pissed right now.

    They didn't even send out letters or anything to notify you that they were closing? Wow.

    My OB with my first pregnancy got fired when I was 39 weeks. I was hormonal and so upset and the staff there was no very nice. I ended up switching clinics (and hospitals) and had a very good experience. I love my current OB.

    You and your sister should hunt for a new OB/GYN together. She would probably appreciate the support since she is in the middle of the pregnancy and all. Start by finding some recommendations from friends and make sure they have privileges at the hospital that your sister and you would want to deliver.

    I thought they were required by law to give you 30 days notice.  They have to give you the name of a doctor (or doctors) that can take care of you for that length of time.  That is true if a doctor decides not to see a patient any longer (for whatever reason) as well.  At least in Michigan - it used to be a law.
