Baby is stuck

I'm 33 wks and since 4a.m. this morning the baby's been turned sideways with the head to the left and what feels like an elbow/knee to the right above my navel. It's very tender there to the touch as though she's bruising me from the inside. My mom has been trying to get me to go to the ER all day but I think I should wait and she if she turns tomorrow. I do think it's kind of odd for the baby to be in the same position for so long when I'm used to her moving all around all day. I do feel some movement but she hasn't strayed much from this sideways position. Is this normal?

Re: Baby is stuck

  • From what I understand it's normal for them to be moving around still. Have you tried spending some time on your hands and knees? It' takes the weight off your belly and may allow her to move and right herself. Or, you could try putting a cold pack where her feet are and a warm pack down near your crotch so she'll hopefully turn herself back?

    good luck!

This.  And, if movement decreases, I might call my doctor just to run it by them.  Hopefully she turns for you!

  • Ooooh yes, good idea with the hot/cold packs! I had them on my back earlier but will try this. I've been doing the all four position throughout the day and swaying my pelvis to no avail. Heading to bed soon so hopefully will notice a change in the a.m. If not at least I already have an appt with my dr. on Friday. Thank you ladies!
