Beta #'s and Twins ???

Ok, so I think I am being ridiculous about this BUT I just checked my Beta #'s against the beta base website and they were much more in line with the twins median then the singleton.  We only put one embie back so they would have to be identical. Should I really put much weight on this? Anyone have similar beta's with twins?

Beta # 1 at 12dp3dt = 342

Beta # 2 at 14dp3dt = 553

Beta # 3 at 21dp3dt = 8,823

Please tell me I'm being neurotic and I need a new hobby, LOL

    Before I got pregnant, I would have said there's a good chance you're having twins....but then with my cycle, my betas were higher than the average for triplets and I only have one in there!! So after that I don't put much weight on them, especially since you only transferred one embie...but I bet it's a super healthy one like mine!

    Mine were 4835 at 15dp5dt and 34138 at 21dp5dt.  I've seen betas higher than mine for singleton pgs and lower betas with twins or trips - there's a huge variance!  The only way to know for sure is to have an u/s.

    Mine were:

    13dp3dt = 750+

    15dp3dt = 1700+

    20dp3dt = 13,000+

    We put back 3 and 2 stuck.

    DX: Him: Super sperm Me: Diminished pituitary function due to tumor removed April 2008, MTHFR Hetero C677T & A1298C
    IVF #1-4=BFN IVF #5=BFP! U/S on 5/3 revealed TWINS!

    I wouldn't put too much stock in that either - I am pg with twins and my betas were

    TTC since 8/07 DX - Severe MFI/azoospermia & MTHFR/ TESEs found sperm - 7/08 & 6/09/ 12/08 - IVF#1 - BFN/ 6/09 - IVF #2 - cancelled due to OHSS risk (had retrieval)/ 7/09 - FET #1 - BFN/ 9/09 - FET #2 - BFN/ 11/09 - IVF #3 with new RE cancelled twice - 10/09 & 11/09/ 1/10 - IVF #3 take 3 - BFN/ 4/10 - IVF #4 - first ever BFP on 5/13/10!!! 108 @ 10dp3dt/ 2nd beta 311!/ sono on 5/28/10 said TWINS!!!!     Betas are really not a good indicator of twins.  My betas were exactly the same days as yours

    #1 - 493

    #2 - 900+

    #3 - 13,000+

    I had a singleton.

    I know there are girls on SAIF that have had much lower betas than mine were and had multiples.  Regardless, your numbers are amazing.  Congrats

    Those are great numbers, but yeah, it's impossible to predict from betas.

    That said, in my twin pregnancy, my numbers were:

    13dp5dt - HCG = 1372

    16dp5dt - HCG = 4343

     I knew I shouldn't read into it too much but it's a good feeling to know my numbers are great!
