Seahorse = FAIL

So I finally bought DD the much-praised seahorse but she has ZERO interest in it.  As suggested, I put DD down when she's drowsy next to the seahorse.  She either starts to cry or it completely wakes her up.  Will she ever get used to it or should I just give up?

    Did you turn the music to the lower volume? I had to with my DD so it doesn't wake her up as much...

    She may grow to like it down the road, she may not.  My DD has loved it since the first day we got it - but every LO is different.

    Liam hates the seahorse - I try to reintroduce it to him periodically, but he'll have nothing to do with it.

    Yes - set it to the lower volume.  I also tried placing it in different areas throughout the crib but nothing seems to help.  Sigh ~

    DD loves her seahorse but instead of putting her to sleep she gets excited and starts to kick her legs. I only give it to her if we are playing.

    I finally bought the seahorse this weekend as well and while it is great in the car, (calms Liam down when he gets upset in the car seat) it only worked putting him to sleep once, and he was pretty much already there on his own.  But it working to keep him calm in the car seat made it worth it for me.

    My DD does not seem to care for it one way or the other.  She will stare at it, but it does not call her down at all.

    We tried it last night with mixed results.  It seemed to almost hypnotize her while it was going.  I kept starting it waiting for her to nod off, but she just kept staring at it wide eyed.  As soon as it stopped her eyes shut and she went out so who knows if it was due to the seahorse or not.

    im thinking the same thing............

    Yup. If you open up the back there is a switch for loud or soft volume as well as an on/off switch.
