Did you have any issues? DD has been doing fine on the sensitive, but I'm not sure if there will be a lactose shock when we start whole milk. Or, did you go to lactose free first?
we had our 9 month check up recently and our pedi said no whole milk until he's a year. however, i think i will go to Similac Advance like his last month just so it's not such a "shock" from Sensative to whole milk
I'm using target brand next stage formula as a transition. We've been doing 1 to 2 bottles of a day of it for about a week now, Today we've used only that and she got a bit fussy and had a very large hard round BM so I'm assuming thats why.
We transitioned from Similac Sensitive to Similac Advanced (regular) at 6 months. It took about a full week for her to be back to "normal." I would try to transition DD to non-sensitive formula first before transitioning to whole milk. When you do this, give it a week - first few days she was still fussy. You will know if she is having a serious reaction if she gets a rash or has bad diarrhea.
Re: Similac Sensitive users-transitioning to whole milk
I asked this on 12-24 a few days ago:
