So, I put all my eggs in 2 baskets and now am a little screwed.
We have employee daycare in my district that is a bargain compared to regular daycare, has great hours for me and is literally less than 5 minutes from my campus. I put Eileen on the waiting list while I was pregnant.
Many moms told me that I would have no problem getting in for August. Well....we didnt' get in )=
Then, I went to our backup which is a daycare less than 5 minutes from our home that Kreeper uses but they don't have an opening for her age until December.
My contract for next school year begins on August 2nd. I really don't want to use a daycare that I don't have any references for--soooo does anyone have any recommendations for a daycare near Jersey Village (290 & the beltway)?
Anything down 249 would take too long, but something up and down 290 between 610 and the beltway might work for DH to take her/pick her up, but that would not be ideal. I work near the beltway and JFK (airport area).
I have only 1 lead on a place that was Kreeper's 2nd choice, but I would really like someplace that someone has personal experience with.
Thanks in advance and please help!!!
Re: Childcare Crisis-please help!
Thanks--isn't this the Houston Bump or is there something different?
It is, but it was late last night and I thought you posted on the regular Houston board.
