Ever ytime we go over to the IL's they think that it is perfectly okay to let my 6 year old SIL carry Austin around. Myself and DH have told them numerous times to please not allow to her to pick Austin up and carry him around. She is very clumsy and trips over her own feet all the time. I still think she is to young to pick him up and walk around with him.
So this weekend we dropped Austin off for a few hours while DH and I ran some errands. Before we left DH told MIL and SIL not to let her SIL pick up Austin and carry him around. They both said ok.
We come back a few hours later and the first thing we see when we walk in the door is SIL carrying Austin around. When DH said something to her about it, she said that MIL told her she could carry him just not in front of us!!! Are you freaking kidding me?!?!?!
Ugh, vent over.
Re: At my wits end!!!
ARE YOU FOR REAL?! That's AWFUL! Why can't people just respect a parent's wishes. It's obviously for the best! Oh and way to teach a 6 year old to LIE.
Sorry!

Sorry!
THIS! That is so irritating. Wow. And that would be the last time they would be watching him for a long time if that were me. I think they need to learn a lesson that you do not go against the parents wishes like that. I would be irate.

Yay, I dont think he will be over there any more anytime soon. As we were walking out the door yesterday DH mentioned that he might be coming over next weekend to change the brakes on my car. MIL got all giddy and told Austin, "Make sure that Daddy brings you and Mommy can stay home!"
WOW! Why do all us ladies have such crazy MILs?

What a witch.
This is out of control. I would be beyond ticked off
Exactly!!!
I agree with all of the above!!
Plus, if they teach they 6yr old to lie, who is to say they won't encourage Austin to do the same later?
That would definitely be the last unsupervised visit EVER for my child and I'd be quite miffed about the last comment.
