seems like there are more than I would have thought! My DD#1 will turn 3 shortly after DC#3 will be born and I'm not as nervous as I thought I'd be. I am worried about telling people though because I know there will be some negative reactions "oh no, you already have your hands so full!" etc.
Re: How many 3u3 are out there?
I have 3U3. When I told people I got a wide range of responses. Anything from "you're crazy" to "wow you guys must really like sex" Or my MIL who said, "that's awful". I really don't think anyone actually said congratulations on the third. They mostly just looked at me like I had two heads. My parents were excited for us.
We'll just miss it, as well. DS will be 3y2m when #3 get here.
I mostly get a lot of people asking me if we need a lesson on how babies are made. Just laugh it off. It's no big deal!
We will have 3 under 2 in about 5 weeks. Our last 2 came as a package so no one really said much- they were surprised we were having twins (as were we) and told us we'd need alot of help but that's about it.
Not 3u3. My DD#1 was 3y1m when DS was born.
I too, got a lot of looks when I was PG with #3. I got a lecture from my own parents.
Somehow, I survived. It was HARD, VERY HARD for the first year for me, for many reasons - I'm a SAHM, no help, bad sleepers, etc. BUT, here I am, almost 18 months after DS was born, and I'm still alive! LOL!
GL to you and congrats!
I have 3 under 3. I think. I am due with my third in August.
DD will be 2 years and 5 months
DS will be 1 year and 5 months. They are 1 year and 2 days apart.
So far its OK. I have gotten a lot of congrats and "good for you" because its common in my family/circle (traditional Catholics w no BC).
We also get complements on how fertile we are!
Don't you love the comments? We dont have 3 under 3 but we got soo many comments about 2 under 2. MIL said we were going to have horrible lives! Nice!
This was pretty much the responses we've gotten. Sad, but true. We're happy though
I will have three, three and under for a few months. I'm glad for the age spacing...but everyone else seems to think we are crazy. Whatever! I was actually afraid to tell my own mother because she said exactly what I thougth she would..."another one..." She had FOUR! I'm not letting people's comments get to me, honestly, if I could afford more I would have seven kids!
Count me as a survivor of the 3ish and under club. Except it was 4 in 3 years,2 weeks. It was hard, I think mainly because my #3 was actualy #3 and #4
I love how close in age my kids are, and after doing 2 under 2 once, it's easier the second time around. I've gotten crazy comments, too, and I just don't listen to the negative ones. Luckily, no one in our families has ever said anything bad, it's mostly strangers that don't think before they speak.
Mom to Megan(5), Bridget(4), Tessa and Annie (2) and Mary (brand new)
I am not a member of the 3u3 club, but my best friend is, and I love her answer to the question, "You do know how this happens, right?" She responds with wink and a grin, "Yes, and we LIKE it!" It usually leaves people speechless.
