Does anyone know where we can have...

Lo's first birthday party?  Our apartment is too small, and now I'm at a loss for finding a place.  Birthday is at the end of August.  I was thinking of maybe a park?  Or a petting zoo?

Ideally, I would have just loved to have it at a home, but we don't have a place big enough and our families live out of town.

    I think a park is nice, especially if you found one with a pavilion.  Not sure about a petting zoo, but depending on how many people you were having you could have it at the Detroit Zoo.

    What about a water park or beach...?

    Places to consider:  Troy Aquatic Center, Red Oaks Water Park, Spencer Beach, or Metro Beach.

    Oh, like mentioned above, Metro Beach is really nice.  We went there a few weeks ago and walked around - they had a lot of areas where you could have a party.
