Did anyone else name their child after a TV character?

I get asked all the time where I got the name Brady from and its from 2 of my fave TV shows, Days of our Lives (character and a family on the shows name), and Sex and the City. Just curious if anyone else was inspired the same way.

    Yep..my daughter was born 3 years ago and was named after Gray's Anatomy character Addison.

    No, but people used to ask me all the time if I named DD#1 after the character on Charmed (Piper).

    I had Piper on our shortlist for DD (after Charmed). I love that name!

    I was named after Alyssa Milano (my name is Alyssa...) from Who's the Boss?

    No but people think we got the name for DS#2 (Sawyer) from LOST. Not true we just really liked the name.

    Luke (star wars) Tiberius (Star Trek).  Luke has been my boy name for years, but dh was excited about the whole "I am your faaaather" thing.  he didn't want to go with skywalker as a middle name so we went with Tiberius.

    Missed M/C at 14 wks Feb 2012.

    DD2 born 5/14/13.

    Missed M/C at 9 wks July 2015.

    Expecting someone new 4/17/17.

    We got DD's MN from The Office - Pamela Morgan Beasly. It's our "show" and we walked into the theme song at our reception.

    Not from TV, but:

    Leila -  From the song  Layla by Derek & and the Dominos / Eric Clapton

    Bianca - From a designer (Maria Bianca Nero) that I adore, and I did runway shows for when I was in the fashion industry.

    Funny thing is Lelia means dark or black.Bianca means white. Our baby is interracial. Oops ... oh well.

    My brother named his son Kale after a character in a movie. DH and I named our son Mason Carlisle. Mason we found on a baby name book a few years ago. Carlisle however is from the movie twilight. We liked the meaning of the name. The hospital staff kept asking us how we came up with his middle name.

    Didn't mean to...but that is what happened.  We liked a name and then found out it was on a hit TV show that I don't watch.  Oh, well.  Life goes on, but the name we chose wasn't as uncommon as we thought! :)

    I didn't name DD after anyone in any movie or TV show I'd ever seen. After she was born a friend of mine mentioned there is a Trinity in The Matrix though (I've never seen the Matrix movies so I didn't know).

    My uncle's ex-wife named her daughter after Marshall "Eminem" Mather's daughter (Hailey Jade) and my sister Tabetha was named after a character on a TV show my mom was really into when she was young (Bewitched). I also have two uncles and and aunt on my dad's side that I've only ever met once when I was about 12...their names are Minnie, Mickey and Donald (not fibbing).

    I didnt name DD after anyone on tv.. But I did make it up..

    However for our boy list I liked the name Damien ..but DH veto'd due to The omen.. Which is why I liked it.. Devil

    Nope, but people think I named him after Angelina Jolie's kid Maddox. We didnt, it was just the only name I saw in the baby name book that we agreed on

    Years ago when watching one of his movies and discovering his name I fell in love with the name Liev....after Liev Schriber. I named my son Liev not because he is my favorite actor or anything but because the name appealed to me because its so rare....short and sweet...and doesnt require a nickname.

    DS middle name is from a Criminal Minds character Dr Spencer Reid, DS is Zackary Reid

    No! But everyone asks if we named her after Bella from Twilight.  We had actually picked out her name before I had seen anything about the movie so I didn't know it was the name of one of the characters.  Actually, her great great grandmother's name was Isabel but we didn't know that until a few weeks before she was born.  We just liked the name.
