Maternity leave ends in 12 hours :(

Boo. My mom just arrived from Cali and she will be here until the 30th to watch DD. Then she goes to daycare. Ugh.

I stepped down from my management role so that I wouldn't have to travel anymore. Took a 10K pay cut but at least I get to stay home and be with her every single night.

I won't have to leave my home office for at least the first week, possibly the second as well so at least the transition will be a little easier on me. I'm still sad.

    I know the feeling and it's really hard.  I've been back since November and it still makes me sad sometimes. I'm really glad you get to work from home for the first few weeks, although it would be hard for me not to run in there for snuggles all day (=

    I know it will be hard, but I hope the transition goes well for you. This will be my 3rd week back, and it is already getting easier. I think I also appreciate being with him so much more since returning to work.

    Day one not so bad. Granted I was home with her so I got to cuddle her when I wanted and spent lunch playing with her to give my mom a break. The true test will be when I send her to daycare.
